PRO BONO WORK
PRO BONO
Khurana & Khurana encourages each practitioner at the firm to devote meaningful time to pro bono work, including providing legal aid, conducting awareness programmes, and rendering opinions for NGOs, individual inventors, and universities. Our practitioners are expected to approach pro bono matters with the same dedication, commitment to hard work, and legal excellence that they bring to every client engagement. K&K maintains a diverse and innovative pro bono practice and invests substantial resources in community service and charitable initiatives. In particular, K&K actively promotes awareness of intellectual property rights and has participated in numerous symposiums and conferences for institutions and enterprises. Through these efforts, K&K seeks to foster a culture of respect for intellectual property and to contribute to meaningful, long-term change in society.
FREE IPR CLINIC FOR INDIAN STARTUPS
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), innovation, and knowledge protection are increasingly central to business strategy. However, many startups lack access to reliable information and a clear understanding of IPR, including how to formulate and implement an optimal IPR strategy aligned with their business objectives.
As a leader in the IPR services industry, Khurana & Khurana has undertaken initiatives to strengthen the IPR capabilities of startups in India. These initiatives have included dedicated free IPR clinics for startups, through which the firm leverages its experience in advising startups and individual inventors to provide customised solutions, counselling, and guidance to budding entrepreneurs. In one such initiative, Khurana & Khurana hosted a dedicated IPR clinic at its Mumbai office, where the firm's IPR consultants and experts conducted one-to-one, solution-focused counselling sessions on IPR strategy, approach, and budgeting for startups. Sessions were provided without any registration fees and were made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
With over 2,000 clients, 11 offices in India, and a team of more than 330 professionals, Khurana & Khurana has consistently supported startup innovation and promoted transparency in the IPR ecosystem. Under the leadership of its partners, Mr. Vinod Khurana, Mr. Tarun Khurana, Ms. Meenakshi Khurana, and Mr. Abhishek Pandurangi, the firm has actively contributed to building awareness around intellectual property, and its free startup IPR clinics represent an important chapter in this ongoing commitment.
