Dr. Shweta Sharma is a Principal Associate at Khurana and Khurana Associates, specializing in patent drafting, prosecution, and strategic intellectual property advisory in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and life sciences. She is a Registered Indian Patent Agent with over eight years of experience managing complex patent portfolios across multiple jurisdictions.

Dr. Sharma has extensive experience in end-to-end patent lifecycle management, from invention disclosure and patent drafting to prosecution and hearings. She regularly works with global clients, research institutions, and industry stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on patentability, portfolio management, and IP protection strategies. She has handled hundreds of patent applications annually, addressing examination objections and coordinating with international associates for seamless global prosecution.

Prior to joining the firm, she worked with leading IP consulting organizations including Sagacious IP and K&S Partners, where she advised inventors and corporations on patent strategy and prosecution.

Dr. Sharma holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Delhi, with research expertise in plant molecular biology and biotechnology. She was further a Visiting Scientist at the University of Glasgow, UK, where she collaborated with international research teams in life sciences.
