Abhijeet Deshmukh is a Partner at Khurana & Khurana and heads the Firm’s Commercial Disputes & IP Litigation practice. With over 16 years of experience, he advises and represents clients across Intellectual Property disputes, commercial litigation, arbitration, and corporate and commercial advisory matters.

Abhijeet has substantial experience in contentious Intellectual Property matters, including trademark, copyright and design infringement, passing off, opposition and rectification proceedings. He represents clients before courts, tribunals and other judicial and quasi-judicial authorities across India, with a focus on developing effective litigation, enforcement and dispute-resolution strategies aligned with their broader commercial objectives.

His practice also encompasses commercial litigation and arbitration, where he advises and represents clients in complex commercial disputes, including arbitral and conciliatory proceedings. He has particular experience in UDRP and domain name disputes and assists businesses in protecting, enforcing and commercially leveraging their Intellectual Property rights, including through strategic enforcement and dispute management.

Alongside his disputes practice, Abhijeet advises clients on a broad range of corporate, contractual and commercial matters, including the negotiation, drafting, review and structuring of Technology Transfer Agreements, Intellectual Property Assignment Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Distribution Agreements and other commercial contracts.

He advises start-ups, emerging businesses and multinational corporations across diverse industry sectors, providing both contentious and non-contentious legal advice with a practical and commercially focused approach.
